Devin Booker, Donovan Mitchell, and Trae Youngare all rated at 88. Not only are these players the future, but they are already leading their teams to wins. High NBA 2K21 Next-Gen Ratings Reserved for Next-Gen Stars Miami is definitely going to be a popular team in the videogame with a dominant Butler and his supporting cast all seeing a rating boost. With that being said, however, Butler proved that he can be the best player on a legitimate contending team. There could be an argument made that Butler’s season stats don’t warrant a 93 rating. Not only does this make him one of the best players in the game, but the best player for the Heat since The Heatles 2K era. In NBA 2K21, after the Miami Heat‘s Finals run, Butler lands a rating of 93. Jimmy Butler was always in the realm of a great player, but not yet elite, at least according to usual NBA 2K ratings. “King James” led the league in assists per game last season. Now that he doesn’t have to be the focal point of the scoring offense with Anthony Davis around, James somehow even got better with his passing and vision. His size makes him a tough defender and rebounder. His jump shot has been much improved throughout the years. ![]() That was in full display this season as he led the Los Angeles Lakers to its first title since 2010. While he hasn’t been league MVP since 2012-13, James continues to be the most dominant player, especially in the playoffs. It’s hard to argue with the statement that LeBron James is still the best player in the NBA. NBA 2K21 Next-Gen Ratings: Quick Reactions LeBron James is still “King James” With that being said, many next-gen player ratings were dropped today. Of course, there will be plenty of team changes and rookies added as the offseason begins, but player ratings will remain the same until the 2020-21 season begins. This topic is basically a last-Gen complaint.NBA 2K21 was released more than a month ago, but rosters and ratings weren’t permanently locked in with the NBA Bubble in full swing. We joke about 2K releasing the same game every year but the reality is they moved past most of you. I know it might be asking for a lot on Reddit, but it would be great if people leveled up & evolved how they analyze the 2K roster. I personally have Butler at 72 mid-range, because I refer to career / multi-season anytime single-season data samples are insignificant. They will perform significantly worse than Butler despite the same rating (and this is w/o factoring any of Butler's other natural advantages, like Ball Handling to get him open shots / better shooting situations) Solomon Hill is a 67 and Derrick Jones is a 65. SILVER: Clutch Shooter, Deep Fades, Difficult Shots, Flexible Release, Pick & Popper, Pump Fake Maestro, Tireless Shooter, Volume Shooter Badges have divided up gameplay elements that used to be tied to a specific attribute. ![]() ![]() Ratings had significantly more weight before badges existed. People are crying about this at length like this is the same game as NBA 2K10. The bulk of his offensive value very obviously comes from the other 91% of his shots (along w/ everything else). Jimmy Butler took 1,085 shots this season & playoffs (sans game 6). The average starter at every position takes fewer than 2 mid-range shots per game. Beyond the fact that his BADGES more than make up the difference, this isn't 1995. I will eventually speak on this in it's own topic, but I think a lot of people placing a lot of undue weight on the Mid-Range ratings this year. 2K is the only game that has a community of morons who believe a pathetic excuse for testing. ![]() Name one type of reliable info in any other game that didn't come from either datamines or is actually testable (such as the fire rate of a gun). It's impossible to start a reliable "testing" business because of the popularity 2Klabs has already established, and because of the fact that many aspects of this game are impossible to test objectively. What makes them right about their testing? Do you have proof, or is it just your own bias confirming what you have been told? I'm pretty sure it's not any hard proof you have.Įveryone uses them as evidence because no one on PC cares enough about 2K to datamine, and everyone else either doesn't care enough to get 2K on PC just for a single video game's code, or they're one of the gullible people. That's what makes them anecdotal and pointless. As I said, anyone who knows anything about statistics knows that their sample sizes in the hundreds are pathetic.
